After
participating for many years in painting-out groups, I am still
painting outside as I always did before the groups came along.
I find that I get more done when I paint by myself. The plein-air
studies help me to "see" the landscape, then I can experiment in my
studio using many of the studies I have collected.
Regarding shows & exhibits, I will be the
featured artist at Sage Moon Originals in June 2007. Sage Moon is an
upscale gallery in downtown Loveland, Colorado (116. E. 4th Street).
The shops and restaurants in this area host "Night On The Town" on
the 2nd Friday of every month from 5 to 9 p.m. You can walk about,
visit the galleries and shops, eat at one of the restaurants, maybe
do some wine tasting. My reception will be on the 2nd Friday
of June. Come by Sage Moon Gallery to say hi and pick up a
folder that lists all the participating businesses in Night On The
Town.
I will also be exhibiting during the month of
September 2007 at the Loveland Chamber of Commerce located at
Centurra shopping area (east Loveland) near Hwy 34 and I-25. The
Chamber features a local artist each month, so check that out, plus
you can get information there about our area.
Another charming gallery where I am
represented full-time is the Red Canyon Art Company in Lyons,
Colorado - easy to find right in the center of town. And a new
gallery on my list is Mountain Living Studio in Manitou Springs -
another fun area to visit, shop around and have lunch.
